Who We Are
We realize potential every day
Vodec provides life-enriching services to persons with disabilities, including day programs, employment training and residential options. Our consumers are people who deserve respect and compassion, but, unfortunately, they often live out their lives behind closed doors. Our goal is to reverse the stigma and create a shared community of equality. Whether we’re working with families, school administrators or businesses partners, we believe in trying new things before ever saying, “No, we can’t do that.” For us, it’s about education, empowerment and care of the whole person. At Vodec, we’re focused on helping our consumers learn job skills and get jobs, live in settings of their choice and enjoy integration into their communities. We’re committed to helping each individual realize their potential, whatever that may be.
We are a private, non-profit, 501(c)(3) corporation…
Most of our funding coming from Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) and Medicaid offices. We are able to provide our services because we follow strict guidelines from a number of organizations. Their accreditations and certifications allow us to serve and help us keep track of how our services compare to our competitors. The standards for our industry are set by CARF International. For six consecutive periods, we have earned three year accreditations – their highest – for the following services:
- Community Employment Services: Employment Support
- Community Employment Services: Job Development
- Community Integration
- Organizational Employment Services
